It's A Small World by LeSportsac

Disney has teamed up with the handbag company LeSportsac to bring us a new and fabulous line of designer Disney bags. These bags are available at the LeSportsac website.

With four different patterns and twelve different styles, there is a bag for everyone!

I would buy a bag just to get the cute charms they come with.
Look how cute the charm is on the mermaid themed Peace, Love, and Mermaid bags. The same charm is used on the Tahitian Dreams bags as well! (patterns featured on first and second bags from the left in above photo)

The metal coin charm from the Magical Journey bag is nice too and would make a good key chain if removed from the bag.  (pattern is featured on the third bag from the left in the photo above)

The Time to Share bag might have my favorite charm, and the pattern is definitely the most "in your face" about it being a Small World/Disney themed bag.  (pattern is featured on the last bag from the left in the photo above)

I don't currently own any LeSportsac bags, I am a Coach and Disney Dooney & Bourke gal, but with the slightly lower price tag, and fabulous patterns along with the numerous style options, I think I might just have to add one of these to my Disney bag collection.

Do you own any Disney handbags?
Which It's A Small World pattern do you like best?

Calling All Figment Fans!

I am always on the lookout for new Figment merchandise because I am a bit obsessed with the little purple guy.

Imagine my excitement when I was browsing the Art of Disney Parks website and noticed this little note on the events page:

"Apr 21 Figment: Heights of Imagination - Sculpture Premiere and Artist Signing with Bruce Lau"

I followed the event link and literally squealed in delight when I laid my eyes on the newest Figment WDCC sculpture.

Not only is the sculpture adorable and amazing, but it's a nod to the original Journey Into Imagination ride which just tickles me pink.

I pre-ordered the sculpture because I'd be devesated if it sold out before I got down there and was pleasantly surprised to find out they are actually allowing the Disney Visa card holder discount on this item. This is rare and I double checked with 2 cast members to confirm it. With shipping it came to $159.

Spending $160 on a sculpture that is just going to collect dust, not up your alley? Don't worry, you can also get a matted deluxe print for only $35. I will try to grab one when I am down there in May for the travel Agent Education Program. Isn't it awesome?

If you are lucky enough to be in Disney World on April 21st you can head over to Epcot where the artist will be signing the pieces in person the day they are released. For more information you can visit the Events page HERE.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

I wish I was celebrating at Raglan Road or Cookes of Dublin today but since I'm stuck in bed in New York with a bronchial infection this is as close as I'm going to get.

Check out all the cool 2012 St. Patrick's Day merchandise! Isn't Irish Duffy just the cutest little bear?! I'm loving the Saint Patrick's Day Disney Pins/lanyard and I would totally rock those ears!

If you're still craving a taste of Irish cooking, check out this post from the Disney Parks blog. They'll teach you how to make an official Raglan Road appetizer!

New Vinylmation Mold - Popcorns

I just read an article over at VinylmationKingdom.com about a new mold being released for a new line of Disney Vinylmations. The Vinylmation Popcorns...

Not sure how I feel about this, since I still miss the original mold of the original vinylmations.

Check out the article HERE and then come back and tell me what you think!

What rocks more?

My new haircut?
or
My "new to me" Vintage EPCOT Center Sweatshirt/Jacket?

The jacket was my mom's. I found it in her drawer today while going through her stuff with dad and haven't taken it off since. It still smells like her, plus, it's Disney, so it's my new favorite thing.

Project Z Partially Revealed

I've been waiting for more news on this forever. I just happened to check out VinylmationKingdom.com today and was super excited to see this post!

http://vinylmationkingdom.com/?p=5249

It appears to be the yeti in front of Expedition Everest. I'm intrigued! Does this mean the yeti will be the new form or perhaps they will be making all new forms for different attractions. Maybe there is a vinyl Figment on an actual Figment mold in the future!?!

I can't wait to find out more!

Chef Duffy

Oh my goodness!! Have you guys seen this? I know that there are people who hate Duffy the Disney Bear. Honestly, once upon a time, I did too. However, I just can't deny how cute he is!

I am soooo upset that I will not be at the EPCOT international food and wine festival this year. This is the first time I am missing it since Lord Hill and I started going to Disney World.  Not only will I be missing out on whatever awesome pins they come up with...

But I won't be able to purchase this fabulous CHEF DUFFY, This makes me a very sad panda.

Look at his adorable chef hat and coat! Look at it's fabulous Food & Wine logo! And uh, yea, I guess the Aulani Duffy is cute too, but he's not Chef Duffy cute.

Photo originally posted on the DisneyParks blog.

Anyone going to the Festival who'd be willing to pick up a Chef Duffy and a Figment pin for me???? I'll be your best friend! I'd be happy to do a trade off for something from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party if you want!

Disney Flashback - May 1988

While going through photographs at my parents' house I came across a few that I thought you might enjoy. I thought it was an interesting coincidence that I came across the Flashback Friday blog hop the same day I started scanning the photos, so it was a sign that I had to post them. I hope you enjoy them! I realize it isn't Friday anymore, but I hope that doesn't matter.

These are from a family trip back in 1988. I was 5 and already in love with Figment.

I also loved Dumbo. I still think that he is far to often overlooked as a classic Disney icon.
I still have to scan the rest of the photos, so be sure to check back for future trips to the past.

Adventures in eBay - The Figment Edition

My eBay addiction strikes again! This time I have only won 2 auctions so far so it's not as good or bad lol as it could be.

I have had my eye on this for quite a while now. I spent more than I would have liked, but less than I have seen it go for in the past so I'm not too upset about it. I'll be much more excited when I see it in person. It comes new in the box....
(photo from www.DisneyPins.com)

This next pin, I just saw for the first time and I'm very excited about it. I got it for a decent price, and I can't wait to add it to my collection. It glows in the dark!!

I almost forgot, I won a few other auctions a few weeks back. Also for a Figment pins.

I've wanted this one for a while but kept getting outbid by 50 cents to a dollar each time. It was very frustrating. Lucky for me though b/c I got this for less than my normal max bid.
(Photo from www.pinpics.com)

This pin is part of the Annual Passholder 40th Anniversary Collection. I am a passholder, unfortunately I was not in Disney when this pin was released and I knew that it wouldn't be available by the time I got back so I bought it from an eBay seller that I use for all of my Disney Park needs.

There are so many awesome Figment things posted on the Disney Parks blog that are supposed to be coming out this summer and fall. I have yet to see any of them though. I can only hope this means they will be available when I am there in September. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I will post information about those items in a future blog post.

Do you collect Disney pins? Do you ever purchase them on eBay?

Getting back to Wonderland

It has been a rough month for me. I am slowly getting back into the swing of things and that includes blogging.

I want to thank all of my followers who have stuck with me, and did not stop following me in my absence. I would also like to thank everyone for their condolences, prayers, and pixie dust. Your kindness has made a difference in how this month could have played out.

I will be posting again in the next 48 hours. Be sure to stop by because I will be sharing some awesome Disney finds from my shopping trip this weekend, including some park exclusive merchandise found at a local NY non Disney outlet!

Disney Mail Call - Star Wars Weekends and Adventures in eBay

If you follow me on twitter, (and you should, see my next post for details why) then you already know that I was VERY excited to receive a package. I even posted a teaser picture of the package. I love mail in general, but Disney related mail is even better.

Dinah and Alice were excited as well, and eager to help me open the box.

My darling husband was also eager to open the box but waited patiently while I took some photos to share with you.

I will be sure to show you photos of them once I put them in their new home... but for now, here is a photo from Disney of the figures.

I have wanted to collect these since the series was first released. However, they sold out rather quickly and were not released again until Star Wars Weekends.
Now, I'm sure you're saying "But Lady Hill, you weren't at Star Wars weekends. However did you score a whole case??"
That is where the eBay adventure comes into play.

I have found an awesome seller. She has fair prices on her buy it now items, fair shipping, and also holds auctions. All of this was just dandy and I was good to go based on that alone, when I saw that she said she makes frequent trips to Disney World and can try to take requests I was sold.

She has awesome communication, always quickly responds to messages and/or emails and even stayed in touch while she was away and visiting family. I instantly added her to my favorite sellers list and I think you should too.

Click HERE to visit debranator228 on eBay and tell her Lady Hill sent you!
(I am not affiliated with debranator228 I simply find that she provides a good service and I told her that I would spread the word.)

Do you collect Vinylmations? Which series is your favorite?

Babes in Disneyland Disney Blog Hop

Hello there and welcome to my own personal Wonderland. If you're stopping by from the blog hop you know that this week is all about Disney decor. I have big plans for my imaginary house and what a wonderful Alice in Wonderland themed garden I'll have... I picture the outside to look like the gingerbread architecture of the Old Key West resort with hidden Mickey's everywhere... ah, a dream is a wish your heart makes....
Anywho, back here in my Wonderland I have managed to cram a LOT of Disney into a little space.
This is just a taste of what my tower holds...to keep this a tolerable length I will limit this post to just my "office" where I do all of my fabulous blogging from.

Above my desk...

Our pin collection minus the 200 or so we traded for on our last trip to the World in March.

My Figment shelf (yes, he gets his own shelf, he shares it with Alice but it's pretty much his.) 9" Vinylmations on the next shelf down. Hubby has a Ghostbuster shelf but that isn't Disney so feel free to ignore it.

Well, that's my office aka "Disney room". Stay tuned for more photos of my Disney decor.
Be sure to join the hop to share photos of your Disney decor too!

Disney Store Outlet Deals!

Now that blogger is finally back up and running I am so excited to share my Disney Store Outlet score with you!

There is actually another red create your own vinylmation hiding on top of the Screamer 9" that got cut out of the photo.

Now, I know what you are thinking...
"Lady Hill, why did you buy so many red 3" vinylmations??"

This is why...They were only $2.99 each!  This is great for trading at the parks. I know that some people don't like solid color or clear vinylmations and get upset that people use them to trade, but the great thing about Disney is, if you don't like your trade, you get to try again or pick from the clear box. So, in September, be prepared b/c there will be a few of these floating around in the trade boxes. We bought all of the ones our location had, but we were told that other locations had a similar stock so you may be able to luck out!

The screamer was only $19.99!! Half Price! SCORE! My hubby really wanted it when it first came out but we couldn't justify the cost. At $20, we went for it.

I also got myself  fabulous new shirt...
Only $7.00!

Now, I haven't even gotten to the best part... we had a 10% off coupon! So it was an even sweeter deal. I am very excited about this trip to the Disney Store Outlet. It doesn't compare to the 2 in orlando that sell Disney Park merchandise... but it was still a great day.

I picked something else up at the Lenox outlet that I will be sharing in a separate post. Stay tuned for more Disney goodness!!

What is the best deal you have scored on Disney merchandise??

Times Square Disney Store Exclusives

A few weekends ago my husband and I took a trip into the city to visit my mom at Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital. Afterwards we made our way over to Times Square to check out the new Disney Store.

Please disregard my lack of makeup and bad hair day. I didn't dress up to visit the hospital.

First let me say, that I was a little dissappointed with the outside of the store. We literally walked by it twice while trying to find it because it just didn't stand out like the Toys R Us or the Hershey store did. The store isn't as big as I thought it would be, but I have a large Disney Store at my local mall so that is probably why.

When you first walk in you are greeted by Time Square exlusive merchandise. It was very cute, but being a New Yorker, most of it is stuff I wouldn't bother owning. As much as I love NY I don't usually broadcast it on my clothing. If you are a tourist however, it is some of the CUTEST New York merchandise I have ever seen.

This is a cute swing/ferris wheel type thing they have set up on the first floor. It's very cute. There are Disney characters and kids in Disney clothes riding it. It moved a little too quick for my cell phone to get a good picture but here is Minnie having a spin.

These were probably one of my favorite things in the store...
Mickey Ears with the Statue of Liberty crown. These are  MUST HAVE for any tourist in my opinion. I have made a vow to never wear a Statue of Liberty Crown around NYC otherwise these would have been mine. I did make an exception to take a quick picture so I could show the details though. Arent they adorable?!

Now... on to my favorite thing from the store. Which, yes I did purchase. A Times Square Exclusive Vinylmation.

I LOVE this Vinylmation. The detail is fabulous and the tin is awesome. It was worth the trip to the store for that alone. But wait... I'm not done yet...
The Times Square store also has.... PINS!!!

I only bought one. There were some cute pins, but I just didn't see spending that much money on NYC souveniers. There was a Minnie Mouse pin that was part of a set that I desperately wanted, but it wasn't sold seperately. So, to go with the theme of the day I purchased this one...at $12.50 it was a little ridiculous and I feel that if it were in WDW the same pin might have been a $9.50 one. Oh well, it was cute, and it was a pin! I needed it.

Have you been to the Times Square Disney Store? If so, I'd love to hear about your experience!
