Animal Kingdom Lodge Review
Ever since I was a little girl, it has been my dream to live in Disney World. Now, that's not very practical, although now with Golden Oaks in development in a few years it will be possible for the rich.
I never thought this dream would get to come true, and while technically it hasn't, hearing "Welcome Home" every time I visit Walt Disney World is close enough for me.
The Disney Vacation Club has opened up a whole new world of possibilities and experiecnes for me. Without it, I never would have stayed at my new favorite resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
We visited Disney World this September and spent 8 days/7 nights in a Savannah View Studio in Jambo House. It was AMAZING. The cast members at this resort were awesome. I had so much fun talking with them that we changed our dinner plans one night in order to spend more time interacting with the cast members. The stories and knowledge that they shared made this trip so special and memorable.
We loved our Savanah view, but it wasn't neccessary since there were so many viewing points throughout the resort.
If you've read my blog before, you know that I fell in love with the zebra domes from Mara and will go back to the resort just to eat them on my next trip to Disney.
Here are some photos from our trip. Click the image to enlarge.

Disney Blog Hop - Disney Foods
In honor of EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival Babes in Disneyland said that they were posting about Disney foods that make them happy. Since I don't have children in school, I figured I'd stick to that theme. Especially since this is an easy topic for me. There are SO many delicious foods at Disney that I look forward to eating all year long. I couldn't narrow it down to just one so I made a collage.
The largest photo is my FAVORITE dish at Walt Disney World. I look forward to eating this all year long, I talk about it, I have even tried to replicate the meal at home. It is Chicken and Chips with fried Doh Bars from Cookes of Dublin in Downtown Disney.
The top right corner is the Canadian Chocolate Moose from Le Cellier in EPCOT.
Underneath that you have the Turtle Krawl from The Gurgling Suitecase at Old Key West Resort.
Following in that theme, the bottom right corner is the Magic Blue Margaritta and chips from La Cava del Tequila in EPCOT's Mexico Pavilion.
The bottom middle photo is one of my all time favorite meals on the planet. It has a very special place in my heart b/c it tastes exactly like my mother's cooking which is a nice way to remember her since her passing in June. It is Sod the Stew with green beans from Raglan Road in Downtown Disney.
The bottom left corner is a new favorite of mine. I experienced, yes, experienced, this delectable wonder for the first time on my trip last week. These are the world famous Zebra Domes from the Mara at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. WOW. WOW. WOW. If you've never tried them, do it the next time you are there. Eat them while watching some zebras and giraffes on the savannah even if you aren't staying at the resort, they are THAT good.
What is YOUR favorite thing to eat at Disney World??
Check out what others are talking about today on the Disney Blog Hop.
