Hey there, hi there, ho there!

WOW!
I cannot believe how much time has passed since I last updated this blog.
I had my reasons which I won't get into right now, but let's just say OH BOY does it feel good to be back!

I have so much to update you all about including but not limited to my continued experience with runDisney and my very first trip to Disneyland.

There's so much to say that I'm not sure where to start but I had to say hello and hopefully while I was gone, I was not forgotten.

Stay tuned for some awesome updates, photos, giveaways and more!
In the meantime enjoy this Memory Maker photo of my dad (white shirt first front car) myself, and Lord Hill (front row second car) on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 10K

I have officially joined the ranks of the runDisney runners.

I participated in my first run/race ever this month. What better place to do it than at Disney?! (In all honesty I would never run "far" anywhere else without something chasing me!)

If you read my other blog you know that I am not a fitness girl. I don't get up and run at 5am and watch the sunrise. Nope, not me, no thank you.

This was an awesome exception. The race started at 5:30am and being as anxious as I am I decided to grab the first bus to the starting line which meant getting to the bus stop by 3:30am. Normally I'm still awake then! (I'm writing this at 3:36am lol)
So, to make the situation as easy as possible I laid my outfit out the night before. This was a tip I was given by another runner at the Expo. Great tip!!

I got to the Epcot parking lot and started the walk to the starting line.

I met so many amazing people that weekend. Runners are the craziest, nicest, most supportive people EVER and runDisney runners are magical too!

(My friend Kira and I before the start of the race.)

I waited for what felt like centuries for my corral to head to the starting line. I was feeling stiff and nervous since I hadn't planned on such a late start. (Now I know for next time) While we waited for our turn to head on to the course, the winner actually crossed the finish line! It was incredible and it got me back into a good space mentally.

Then it was our turn!

I didn't go with anyone so I spent quite a bit of my run texting my bff about my progress while she cheered me on from home.
I sent her photos at every mile marker which helped push me to go a little faster to show her how quick I could be lol
(I couldn't stop to take a photo of myself bc of how long the line was! Those Frozen chicks are super popular)
(Almost done!!)
Only .2 miles to go!!

I did it!!!

I stopped to meet some characters along the way.

This was by far one of the best experiences of my life. I can't wait for my next race and to add to my new runDisney bling collection!

Do you runDisney? What has been your favorite race?

The Party runs each night from 7pm-midnight. There has been no official announcement yet on whether party goers may enter at 4pm but this was the case last year and other than 2010 it was allowed in previous years, as well.

Also, several tours and experiences have been holding out for the official MNSSHP to release their tickets. Pirates and Pals Fireworks for these dates, for instance have not been released for purchase as of this morning.

Several of the party dates fall within Disney World's FREE DINING promotion dates as well as the newest "Room Only" late summer promotion. You can stay in a standard room at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort starting at just $70 per night, plus tax, for most Sunday through Thursday nights Aug. 15 – Sept. 27, 2012. That's a savings of 20%! Late Summer/Fall is my favorite time of year to visit Disney World, it's not too hot, the crowds are fairly low, and of course there is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Walt Disney World Tickets - Non Expire Option

As reported throughout the internet recently, Disney has removed the "Non Expire" option from their website and ticket booths.

Why is this a big deal you ask? Purchasing a 10 day Non Expiring ticket has saved many families a lot of money over the years because it locks in today's park ticket price for years to come. Say you only want to spend 2 days in the park, but know you'll be back a few times over the next few years... it's a perfect solution!

Well, I have good news for those of you who were sad to hear that this option was taken away...

You can still add the "Non Expire" option to your ticket when you purchase it through a Disney travel agent.

I confirmed that the option was still available today.
